Sipsmith has unveiled FreeGlider, a new alcohol-free spirit. The non-alcoholic offering follows the launch of the English brand’s limited-edition Strawberry Smash gin, which came out of a partnership with Wimbledon.
Credited with kickstarting the global gin boom twelve years ago, passionate pioneers Sipsmith have now turned their hand to something beyond gin. Sipsmith FreeGlider is a beautifully crafted alcohol-free spirit, and the perfect treat when you want to experience in moments in moderation.
Sipsmith FreeGlider has been developed and refined numerous times, with the team testing 189 prototypes before landing on the final seven ingredient recipe. Juniper, a combination of citrus, and capsicum are amongst the ingredients included in the blend. The juniper plays a lead role in the alcohol-free spirit and is balanced with citrus and capsicum to create a unique sipping experience. The spice of capsicum replicates the warmth usually found in a gin.
“With more people than ever before choosing to moderate their alcohol consumption, combined with our continuously unwavering commitment to pioneering spirits of uncompromising quality, we were determined to create the best tasting alcohol-free option yet,” said Sipsmith Master Distiller Jared Brown. “It’s taken a while to get it right; two years in fact near 200 prototypes to reach a taste experience that we at Sipsmith are truly happy with. We believe this is the perfect treat for those who are choosing not to drink and gives sippers a genuinely great sipping experience.”
It’s available to buy now in Waitrose, Sainsbury’s, Ocado, Amazon and Sipsmith.com for £22.50.
Last month, we sat down with Jared Brown to discuss the brand’s partnership with the grass court tennis championships, find out how to spend the perfect day at the All England Club, and learn what goes into each bottle.
In April, to celebrate International Gin & Tonic day 2021, we also sat down with Jared Brown to discuss his first memories of the iconic drink, what goes into a bottle of Sipsmith, and how he likes to enjoy his own Gin & Tonic.
