Woodford Reserve Debuts Limited-Edition Four Grain Whiskey To Celebrate Bourbon Heritage Month

In celebration of Bourbon Heritage Month, Woodford Reserve has released Four Grain Whiskey. The limited edition bottling blends all four Woodford expressions into a new Whiskey and is the latest edition to the Kentucky brand’s Distillery Series.

Woodford Reserve Four Grain is a blend of Woodford’s four core Whiskeys — Woodford Bourbon, Woodford Rye Whiskey, Woodford Malt Whiskey, and Woodford Wheat Whiskey. The result is a unique spirit that features hints of graham cracker, caramel, baking spices, cedar, and clove.

“Each core expression of Woodford Reserve has unique flavor characteristics, and I wanted each of them to shine through in this new whiskey,” Master Distiller Chris Morris said. “The result is a very flavorful whiskey — a true spectacle for the senses.”

Morris created the Distillery Series to highlight Woodford Reserve’s creative line of complex offerings and showcase its commitment to innovation and premium craftsmanship. There are three annual releases of the distillery series.

Bottled at 45.2% ABV, the Woodford Reserve Four Grain costs $49.99 paper 375 ml bottle and will be available for pickup at Woodford Reserve Distillery starting on Wednesday, September 16th. Orders can be placed via the official website. Later this fall, it will also become available at select Kentucky retailers.

Earlier this year, Woodford Reserve added another spirit to its Distiller Series, the Five Wood Whiskey. The limited edition spirit from the Brown-Forman brand got its name from the five different barrels it was matured in over the course of its life. “This is the first time in Woodford Reserve’s history that we’ve blended whiskeys that have been finished in five different barrels,” explained Morris at the time of release. “The result is a rich taste and a bright finish.”

Just over a week ago, the brand was the sponsor for the 146th running of the Kentucky Derby. And if you’re looking for some horse racing-inspired cocktails, check out these derby-inspired cocktails.
