SeaSons is opening its flagship restaurant in Mayfair, taking the site of the longstanding Michelin starred restaurant, The Square. With five other bistros spanning across West London, SeaSons Mayfair is a stone’s throw from the historical mews of Bruton Place, nestled between Berkeley Square and New Bond Street. SeaSons brings quality produce to their new spot, continuing to advocate for and spread the culture of mindful eating.

Open noon until late, SeaSons’ spotlights the freshest fish on the market, sustainably and ethically sourced from dayboat fishermen off the Cornish and Kent coastlines, respecting the seasonality of the sea and championing  responsible fishing. At its core, SeaSons Mayfair delivers delectable food in a luxurious setting designed for  diners to linger for leisurely lunches or dinners.

Led by Executive Chef, Francesco Scala, the kitchen will draw inspiration from the Mediterranean, with no meat on the menu at all. SeaSons’ menu takes diners on a decadent journey from starters of Smoked Eel with apple & celeriac remoulade and Polpo a la Gallega to house-made natural cured fish ‘salumi’ in the Fish Charcuterie Board to pizzas to share of Bronte Pistachio with hen of the woods & vegan parmesan, Black Truffle or Native Lobster & Red Prawns. To follow, plates laden with tagliolini, tortelloni and risotti feed their way from the  kitchen to expectant tables. Larger dishes of Sicilian Frittura Mista, Mushroom Tartine with purslane & crispy artichoke and the signature Cataplana for two served in a copper pan also join the menu.

For those looking to experience the freshest taste of the sea in its purest form, the Raw Fish Bar offers succulent carpaccios and tartares including Sicilian Red Prawn with lemon & coriander, Hand-dived Scallop with truffle and Torched Carabineros (aptly named after the distinctive red colour of the uniforms of the Spanish guard) served with caviar.

Diners are invited to pull up a stool and sip a classic cocktail or glass of wine from their incredibly extensive wine  list. Guests will enjoy a carefully curated menu at the bar including selected freshly shucked Fines de Claire oysters or Tempura Oysters with orange Ponzu or caviar & crème fraiche.

The carefully curated wine list continues the journey across the Mediterranean taking oenophiles from Piemonte to Andalusia, Bourgogne and beyond with a selection from French and Italian powerhouse domaines alongside smaller independent wineries. For those looking for something a little different, SeaSons also have a selection of premium sakés served warm or cold with tasting notes designed to be paired with their seafood.

Diners will also be able to choose their own catch of the day from the central Fish Market on ice, transporting them to the coastal markets of Nice and Marseille, where the ‘Kings of the Ocean’ lie in wait, destined to be grilled with Provençal herbs, Taghazout style with Moroccan spices or served, with a flourish, tableside with a Sicilian Salt Crust and vegetable & herb mirepoix.

Weekly on Thursday, Friday and Saturday’s guests are treated to a range of live music throughout the evening service until close.

SeaSons in Mayfair is laocted at 6-10 Bruton Street, London, W1J 6PU. It is open Monday to Thursday from 12pm to 1am (last kitchen order before 11pm), Friday to Saturday from 12pm to 1am (last kitchen order before 12am), and Sunday from 12pm to 12am (last kitchen order before 10pm).

And The Connaught has added an art and wine enclave known as The Red Room to its stable of world-class bars and restaurants.
