Ryan Reynolds Reveals Limited Edition Aviation Gin Wrexham AFC Bottle

Aviation Gin has unveiled a limited edition bottle to celebrate co-owner Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney’s takeover of Wrexham AFC. The new vessel from the American Gin brand is available for purchase from the  Welsh National League club’s online store.

The limited edition Aviation Gin Wrexham AFC bottle is adorned with the official Wrexham AFC logo, and was inspired by the Art Deco era. Priced at £32 ($44 USD), just 6,000 of the special bottles will be made available for purchase.

“It’s no secret that I love Aviation American Gin. I truly believe it is the best gin on the planet,” said Reynolds. “Rob and I are ecstatic to have won the approval of the Wrexham fans and the league, and this bottle is for them. It’s a small first step on what will hopefully be a legendary underdog story.”

The Reynolds and McElhenney takeover of Wrexham AFC was finalised on February 9th, with the pair making a £2 million equity investment.

Formed in 1864, Wrexham are Wales’ oldest football club and the third oldest professional team in the world. They have been out of the English Football League since their relegation from League Two in 2008.

In a joint statement, the new owners pledged to “use our resources to grow the exposure of the club at home and abroad” and “to create a winning culture.”

Last week, Ryan Reynolds, Sean “Diddy” Combs, David Beckham and their alcohol brands owner, Diageo, teamed up to donate $1 million to help support bartenders. The news of the donation comes via comedic video released by the trio of stars, in which they ‘attempt’ to combine their three spirits brands–Aviation American Gin, DeLeón Tequila, and Haig Club Whisky–into one cocktail and the results are terrible.

In August 2020, Diageo announced it was spending up to $610 million to buy Aviation American Gin, co-owned by Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds, and a variety of other spirits brands. The British spirits giants already own Tanqueray and Gordon’s.
