Good news for British-based fans of new world wines, following the launch of its rosé last year, US wine brand Prophecy has added three wines to its UK portfolio.
Prophecy Cabernet Sauvignon, Prophecy Malbec and Prophecy Sauvignon Blanc will hit wholesaler store shelves across the country this month.
As described in press release, each expression has been made using grapes from “some of the world’s best vineyards”.
Each bottle arrives with an eye-catching design, laden with bold colours and the intricate artwork that has become a feature of Prophecy’s brand stateside.
Speaking on the new bottles Olga Senkina, Marketing Director EMEA at E& J Gallo Winery said:
“Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and Sauvignon Blanc have all experienced significant growth in the UK over the past 12 months and have firmly established themselves as UK consumers’ preferred wine styles”,
“Beautiful inside and out, Prophecy wines not only offer an exceptional representation of each style but their exquisite, intricately designed labels create a real stand out on shelf, drawing consumers to try wines they already know and love, but from a new brand.”
Prophecy Cabernet Sauvignon, Prophecy Malbec and Prophecy Sauvignon Blanc are available in wholesalers nationwide this month, with an RRP of £9.

Last week, Wines of Portugal launched a UK-wide campaign targeting the UK independent retail sector. Using non-wine related social media influencers, the hope is to boost the presence of Portuguese wines in local wine merchants.
Wines of Portugal have selected fifteen independent retailers to take part in the campaign. Each retailer, who attended an educational seminar hosted by Sarah Ahmed, has received a generous support package, alongside a digital ‘tool box’, point of sale material, to promote Portuguese wines, with online support available to them. The campaign will run until mid July.
