Patrón Creates Pop-Up Museo De Margarita In London

Patrón is celebrating International Margarita Day in London with a pop-up Museo De Margarita. The museum explores the history of the cocktail.

The Patrón Museo de Margarita will take place on Tuesday, February 22 in London’s West End at the Noho Studios, with bookable time slots from 3:30pm to 8:30pm GMT. The two-hour experience investigates the birth of the Margarita, following the cocktail evolution through the decades from Prohibition to the creation of Tommy’s Margarita. Visitors will also be given limited edition cocktails inspired by the past, present and future of the Margarita that been created by four UK-based bartenders.

Cocktails on offer include a 1920s Margarita, created by the Artesian’s Guilla Cuccurullo; a sweeter take on the 1930s-1940s cocktail ‘Daisy’ from the Patrón Perfectionists 2021 competition’s UK winner Kat Stanley-Whyte, of Uno Mas bar in Edinburgh; a Margarita-style twist on the 1950s-1970s ‘Blue Ocean’ made by Maxim Schulte, of London’s Kol; and the Blood Orange & Mint Mirror Margarita from Deano Moncrieffe, owner of agave spirits den Hacha in London.

Guests will also learn how to make a Margarita in a cocktail masterclass hosted by Patrón brand ambassadors.

Tickets for the Patrón Museo de Margarita are priced at £15 ($20 USD) per person and include a sample of each of the cocktails.

Also to celebrate National Margarita Day (February 22), Patrón Tequila and St~Germain Elderflower Liqueur have teamed up with celebrity floral artist Maurice Harris to create fresh and joyful takes on the classic Margarita. With every bottle of St~Germain composed of up to 1,000 fresh, handpicked elderflower blossoms and tequila’s most popular cocktail (the margarita actually meaning “daisy” in Spanish) collaborating with Maurice was a natural fit for the brands.
