London: Pan-Indian Restaurant Farzi Café Launches Winter Menu

Contemporary, pan-Indian restaurant Farzi Café is launching their new winter menu. Having opened in London’s Haymarket in January 2019, this new menu continues to take influence from across the globe, as Farzi Café looks to further cement its reputation as a cutting-edge Indian restaurant.

With 19 successful locations across the globe including India, Dubai, Kuwait and Oman, Farzi Café is home to avant-garde food and complex flavours that has seen it reinventing Indian cuisine and overhauling preconceived ideas for almost a decade.

Chef Nikhil Mahale oversees the kitchen team, bringing experimental Indian cuisine to the city using the finest quality ingredients. The new dishes on the menu nod to Farzi Café’s global influence with tapas-style small plates of Avocado & Waffle Tokri, a waffle basket with avocado chat, raw mango carpaccio and lemon air; Bhuna Goat Tacos with pomelo; and Zaffrani Murg Tikka with smoked cashew & saffron cream, masala chicken scratchings & coriander pesto sitting alongside their signature dishes of Udupi Paneer Popcorn, Dal Chawal Arancini (Sicilian arancini balls made with dal & chawal) served with  aachar, papad & chutney and succulent Laal-Mirch Tandoori Chops with three chillies yoghurt and pickled onion salad.

Guests will also be able to indulge in Farzi Café’s version of the much-loved street food classic  Mumbai Vada Pav (fried potato dumpling inside a bun with chutneys) alongside their take on a Bao filled with butter chicken and green chilli mayo.

Elsewhere on the menu, larger dishes of Crab & Prawn Dolma (steamed & stuffed savoy  cabbage leaves), rich and spicy Lamb Shank Vindaloo and Butter Garlic Masala Sirloin with  Brussels sprout poriyal, mustard & tamarind glaze are ideal for a celebratory feast between  family, a pre-theatre dinner with friends or a relaxed business lunch as the seasons change.

Diners at Farzi Café can expect to be greeted by the scent and sight of plates laden with grilled  meats and fish, golden pastry topped biryanis and fragrant curries streaming from the kitchen,  all naturally accompanied by sides of creamy Double Butter Dal Makhni, Potted String Greens and Traditional Indian Breads. For those with a sweet tooth, desserts include Coconut Rice Kheer with passionfruit gel & mango sorbet and Pistachio Tres Leche with pistachio mousse & mandarin jelly.

At Farzi Café London, cocktails are not an afterthought, rather a central focus, with multi  award-winning Head Mixologist Din Jusufi creating a range of experiential and astrology inspired cocktails that are playfully influenced by India’s rich Ayurvedic past. A playground for  cocktail lovers – signatures include Scorpion’s Chalice (Moet NV, Oudh, ghee-washed Pierre  Ferrand Cognac, almond & pitta spiced popcorn), Farzi Club (Sipsmith Gin homogenised with  raspberries, clarified grapefruit, citrus & black raspberry foam), and Dhanus Journey

(Copperhead Gin, grape, plum, grapefruit, Riesling, soda & mango sorbet).

Each unique concoction feeds its way from the post-modern, laboratory-style bar shrouded  in theatrical smokes and infused spritzes to expectant tables, all set against a backdrop that  fuses bold metallics, marble accents and velvet touches.

Farzi Café is located at 8 Haymarket, London SW1Y 4BP. For more information, or to book a table, head over to the official website.
