Beveland Distillers Launches Caracas Club Rums

Beveland Distillers has released a range of Venezuelan Rums, dubbed Caracas Club. The Spanish spirits company begins the line with two varieties, Caracas Club 8 Years and Caracas Club Nectar.

The spirits are a mix of light and dark rums aged between eight and10 years in white oak, ex-Bourbon barrels.

According to the distillery, “Caracas Club’s products are distilled and aged in Venezuela, a country with a long-standing and renowned rum-making tradition. Its organoleptic profile contains fully native notes of its country of origin, including cacao and banana. The balance between flavour and aroma will transport you to the heart of Venezuela, so you can savour its fauna, flora, culture and tradition.”

The isn’t Beveland Distillers first foray into rum, as it already produces Domincan brand Ron Relicario, Marama Spiced Fijian Rum, and Ron Jungla, a 10-year-old rum made with Caribbean liquid that has undergone a second maturation in Bodegas Suau brandy barrels in Mallorca.

Located in Catalonia, Beveland has been producing spirits for over 20 years. The company makes a vast array of spirits including multiple Gins, Vodkas, Whiskies, Tequilas, Brandies, Liqueurs, and a variety of Specialty products.

Beveland Distillers has also unveiled a new bottle design for its Tres Sombreros Tequila range. The bottles, which still have their traditional wooden cap, have been made narrower to make for serving purposes. Elsewhere, a lower border embossment has also been added to the bottles, which is inspired by Aztec motifs. The label designs have been updated using a variety of earth tones to highlight the Tequila’s artisanal nature. The range includes blanco, reposado, and añejo bottlings.

In other Rum news, well-known Whiskey broker and independent bottler Cask 88 entered new territory when they announced their new Rum Collection. The new series includes three bottlings: Guyana 20 Year Old, Guyana 21 Year Old, and Nicaragua 19 Year Old. Sale of the new spirits began on Wednesday, August 12.
