The Streamliner

the streamliner

The Streamliner sits next to Imperial Western Beer Company inside Downtown/Chinatown’s historic Union Station. Visitors can enter through the massive beer hall or through the bar’s own entrance, and the dark space offers a variety of craft cocktails to compete with the craft beers offered across the floor at Imperial Western.

The space is dimly lit and circular booths stretch back through the space offering places for intimate conversation. While Imperial Western seems geared towards large groups and games, The Streamliner is made for discussion and feels like a place out of the movies. There is a certain noir essence that is created by the blue lights and spaced out, hanging, circular lamps.

The cocktail menu delivers classics such as Martinis, Sazeracs, and Negronis, while there is a section specifically dedicated to blended beverages. Mint Daiquiris, Whiskey Sours, and Pina Coladas all come refreshingly cold without being frozen. The Streamliner Old Fashioned is the most popular drink on the menu and is made with their own bonded Bourbon, bittersweet powder, and orange oil.

For those looking for something a little less boozy, there are red, white, and rose wines on draft. There are also four beers on offer, but those searching for suds would probably do best to head to the bar across the floor at Imperial Western. The Streamliner is geared towards cocktails.

Those looking for something to snack on while drinking can order from Imperial Western and then enjoy their eats inside The Streamliner, which means oysters, burgers, fish tacos, and more are all options for hungry imbibers.

Those looking for space for intimate conversation and cool classic cocktails will do well to find themselves at The Streamliner. Offering a noir essence and fresh oysters, the bar is a must-stop for anyone looking to waste some time before getting on a train.
