RTDs often get a bad rap and reasonably so. The vast majority are overhyped swill that arrive at about 4% ABV and do little more than make your teeth hurt and your stomach twist. There are a few brave souls, however, who are actually making some decent RTDs that have enough alcohol to put a smile on the biggest humbug-iest Scrooge. One of those is iconic London cocktail bar Tayēr + Elementary, who just rolled out a trio of limited-edition Xmas cocktails that are perfect stocking stuffers.
The team behind the bar combined Tayēr’s modern techniques and long established practices to create three bottled festive takes on cocktail classics: Mince Pie Negroni (19.8% ABV), Xmas Pudding Sour (21.9% ABV), and Gingerbread Old Fashioned (33.7% ABV). The Christmas cocktails are also making their triumphant feature on the bar menu during the festive season.
The first expression from Tayēr’s combines seasonal delight with one of the world’s favorite cocktails, via the Mince Pie Negroni. Tayēr combines Gin, Vermouth, and Campari with a classic festive staple; expect a lot of rich winter spices and fruit.
To toast to a merry wintertime, Tayēr created the Xmas Pudding Sour, combining rum with velvety smooth notes of nougat, roasted nuts, and fruit.
Lastly, there’s the Gingerbread Old Fashioned, which adds richness to the classic Old Fashioned with a unique blend of Bourbon, aged aquavit, and extra warmth of spice.
Tayēr’s first ready-to-drink cocktails were created during the lockdown but quickly gained nationwide distribution with global reach available via third party. Tayēr are proud to be offering a splash of merriment to the festive celebrations, with each ingredient carefully chosen by internationally acclaimed bartenders Monica Berg and Alex Kratena to produce the perfect Christmas time tipple.
Available as a £30 gift set of three 100ml bottles, the Tayēr + Elementary Xmas Cocktails are presented in signature minimalist style, resulting in drinks that look as good as they taste.
