Sipsmith Steps Into Summer With Strawberry Smash Gin

Sipsmith Strawberry Smash

Sipsmith has unveiled its 2021 summer offering, Strawberry Smash Gin. Last year, the London-based distillery launched a Chilli & Lime variant.

Made using blended ripe Kentish strawberries from Hugh Lowe Farms (the exclusive grower of Wimbledon strawberries), along with seasonal English mint, the gin has been crafted and refined to create a fruity and refreshing drink.

“This year with Sipsmith becoming the Official Gin Partner of Wimbledon we felt it was quite right to harness the taste of British summertime and use last year’s Championships strawberries to make this year’s champion gin,” said Sipsmith Master Distiller, Jared Brown. “As with all of our innovative gins we crafted Strawberry Smash to our exacting standards by layering complimentary sweet ripe strawberries, fresh English mint and refreshing citrus fruits on top of our original London Dry Gin base to create a delightfully fruity and refreshing gin with a smooth and balanced finish.

“We’re passionate about making sure each of the gins that leave our distillery is quite right and hope that sippers will recognise this pursuit for perfection in the gin, and will be delighted by each sip whether they’re treating themselves to a classic G&T or a delicious strawberry serve this summer.”

You can buy Sipsmith Strawberry Smash Gin from the brand’s online store, or from Tesco supermarkets (online and in-store).

In September, Sipsmith announced a new partnership with Wimbledon as the Official Gin Sponsor of the 2021 tennis Championships. To celebrate the affiliation, the distillery gave away two tickets to this year’s tournament along with a year’s supply of Gin to tide over the winners while they wait.

Last year’s, Chilli & Lime Gin edition became the first in the Sipsmith Sipping Series. The Sipping Series is a series of limited edition gins originating from Sipsmith’s experimental gin membership, the Sipping Society. Each gin is handcrafted in small batches, using only the finest seasonal botanicals.
