Singapore Distillery Debuts Inaugural Gin Range

Singapor Distillery Gin

Singapore Distillery has finally opened its doors and has launched its inaugural Gin range. Located in the island city-state’s Ang Mo Kio region, the facility has been under construction since 2017 and has spent the past three years developing its six signature Gins.

Singapore Distillery looked to Asia’s wide variety of herbs and spices while creating the six Gins:

Singa Gin is the brand’s London Dry expression and is a juniper and orange heavy gin that was formulated to be able to stand up to the strongest tonic water.

Kyuri Gin has been distilled with Japanese cucumbers, sakura cherry blossoms, juniper berries, citrus fruits, and other herbs and spices.

Lime Garden Gin was created to show off the various limes available throughout South East Asia. It’s distilled with Makrut Lime, or Limau Purut as it’s called here in Singapore, Limau Kasturi also known as Calamansi, and Limau Nipis (Key Lime).

Coconut Pandan Gin is distilled with Pandan Leaves, coconut flesh, and coconut hearts.

Singapore Sling Gin was created to work with the various recipes for the iconic cocktail.

Stolen Roses Gin is distilled with rose petals. It’s a floral gin that reminds drinkers of a fresh bouquet of roses.

“Singapore has always been a melting pot of different cultures, each with their own cuisines, and we thought these unique flavours and ingredients would be perfect for incorporating into gins and other spirits,” explained head distiller Ashwin Sekaran.

Each Gin from Singapore Distillery is bottled at 42.5% ABV and is on sale for S$69.90 ($51.50 USD) per 750ml bottle, or S$6.90 ($5 USD) per 50ml sample. A sample pack containing a 50ml bottle of each Gin is also available for S$35.90 ($26.50 USD).

Earlier this month, Japanese gin brand 135°EAST launched in a variety of international markets, including the United States.
