Martin Miller’s Launches Winterful Gin, Made With Cinnamon And Orange Peel

Martin Miller’s Winterful Gin

Martin Miller’s has launched Winterful Gin. The limited edition, seasonal expression from the Zamora Company-owned brand is made with cinnamon and orange peel.

Inspired by the ingredients typically used to make mulled wine in England and Iceland, Martin Miller’s Winterful Gin uses the brand’s Original liquid, offering a balance of citrus and juniper. Cinnamon and mandarin orange peel are added to the spirit’s third distillation to create the new winter-inspired offering.

The resulting Gin features “warm and complex flavours of cinnamon added with the edge of mandarin peel”.

“Mulled wine is one of the winter traditions that link Iceland and England – the same bond that defines Martin Miller’s Gin – making it the perfect inspiration for our first winter variant,” said Jamie Stewart, country manager UK and Ireland, Martin Miller’s Gin. “In creating Winterful we wanted to offer our customers our award-winning quality gin, but with a warming winter flavour profile and earthy botanicals suited to the season. Unlike flavoured gins, the aromas of cinnamon, mandarin orange and others like cardamom are added using a third distillation, make for a richer, deeper and more complex gin which retains the juniper backdrop but adds this new dimension.”

The brand recommends serving Winterful with ginger beer or tonic water, and garnished with mandarin orange peel and a cinnamon stick. It can also be mixed with red wine, honey, lemon or orange juice and Licor 43 liqueur to make hot serve Gin Mulled Cranberry.

Winterful follows in the wake of Martin Miller’s Summerful Gin, which the brand released back in February.

Martin Miller’s Winterful Gin is available to purchase from Waitrose stores in the United Kingdom beginning October 12 for the price of £27.99 ($36 USD). It will also be available on Amazon. There is no news yet on whether the expression will make its way to the United States.
