London’s Arch Bar Debuts Royal Cocktail Collection Menu To Celebrate Platinum Jubilee

London-based The Arch Bar has unveiled a new cocktail menu inspired by royal artwork to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee this year. Made up of a dozen drinks, The Royal Cocktail Collection menu is inspired by the Royal Collection, said to be one of the largest reserves of art in the world. The Platinum Jubilee celebrates Elizabeth II’s 70-year anniversary as Queen in 2022.

The Royal Cocktail Collection menu includes The Music Lesson, a fruity twist on the classic Espresso Martini, blending vanilla vodka, cacao and orange curaçao, hazelnut, and coffee together. It is based on a 17th century painting of the same name by Johannes Vermeer, which is currently on display at Buckingham Palace’s Picture Gallery.

The Golden Brooch, meanwhile, combines tequila with jasmine agave, blackcurrant, and pink grapefruit, and is topped with a flower to symbolize the rectangular golden brooch presented to the Queen on her first state visit to Mexico in 1975.

The Twopenny Blue Stamp mixes kumquat rum, papaya, pineapple, ginger, and lemongrass honey in a long-stemmed glass. Garnished with an edible ‘two penny’ stamp which displays Queen Victoria, the serve is inspired by a rare blue Mauritian stamp from 1847, which is valued at £2 million ($2.7m USD).

Other drinks on the menu include The Sovereign’s Sceptre, The Royal Family, Pop Art, Self-Portrait, Duke of Wellington, and the Study of the Heart.

The cocktails are priced at £16 ($22 USD) each.

Located at the InterContinental London Park Lane in Mayfair, The Arch Bar offers the Royal Cocktail Collection menu from noon to midnight daily.
