Kilbeggan, Ireland’s oldest continuously licensed distillery, has just shared a new drink – the peated Black Irish Whiskey. Refined with peated Malt for an elevated taste, the new tipple promises to be an innovative, premium expression.

Kilbeggan Black Irish Whiskey, will become a permanent addition to the Kilbeggan portfolio. Kilbeggan Black available from Monday, May 3rd at retailers and eCommerce outlets in first selective markets (Ireland, Canada, Global Travel Retail and Germany (e-Com)).

Established in 1757, Kilbeggan remains a true original Irish whiskey with a long and illustrious heritage.

Kilbeggan Black is matured in ex-bourbon casks and traditionally double-distilled for a rich yet distinct character, lightly peated for more depth, with a subtle yet delicate smoky finish. The whiskey invites you in, blending a comforting subtle sweetness with a hint of spiciness on the nose, marrying mellow notes on the palate with this distinct note of peat smoke.

Speaking on the new drink Fabian Fischer, Global Marketing Manager – Irish Whiskey at Beam Suntory, said:

“We are very excited to announce the launch of Kilbeggan Black, our new premium expression. It’s the perfect drink to sit back, relax and unwind after a long day and it’s an exciting addition to the core range. For those who enjoy the Kilbeggan Traditional, Kilbeggan Black provides an elevated taste experience refined through the addition of peated malt for more character whilst still retaining the smoothness that we associate with Irish Whiskey.”

Kilbeggan’s Whiskeys are made of soft grain whiskey blended with double-distilled malt whiskey. This double distillation process preserves more of its rich flavours, resulting in a flavour profile with more character while still being an approachable Irish Whiskey.
