Keeper’s Heart Debuts Irish + Bourbon Whiskey

Keeper’s Heart Irish + Bourbon Whiskey

Keeper’s Heart has introduced its latest expression, Irish + Bourbon. Like the brand’s other whiskeys, it hails from the O’Shaughnessy Distilling in Minneapolis.

Master distillery Brian Nation worked with David Perkins, founder of High West distillery, on the new release. The duo describe  Keeper’s Heart Irish + Bourbon as a one-of-a-kind blend of Irish pot still, Irish grain, and American bourbon that delivers a complex, layered and flavorful whiskey.

Bottled at 46% ABV, the whiskey features the characteristic sweet taste of bourbon intertwined with notes of freshly charred virgin oak pair with the earthy spices of the single Irish pot still whiskey and the delicate butterscotch sweetness from the Irish grain whiskey.

Prior to joining Keeper’s Heart, Brian Nation was the Master Distiller at the Midleton Distillery for all of Irish Distillers’ brands, including Jameson, Redbreast, and Midleton Very Rare. He served as Master Distiller for the last seven years, with a total tenure of 23 years spent at Irish Distillers.

Last year, the distillery unveiled its first bottling, Keeper’s Heart Irish-American Whiskey. The offering sees two of the world’s strongest whiskey traditions come together to create something both familiar and completely unique.
