High West Distillery & Saloon is taking its love of whiskey and skiing further west with the opening of two ski in ski out whiskey bars on Mammoth Mountain in California. The original High West Saloon in Park City is already known as a must-stop for winter sports lovers enjoying Utah’s incredible powder.
At High West’s pop-up whiskey lounges in Mammoth, Skiers and snowboarders can enjoy a mix of cocktails and grub. Bar Crawler at The Outpost on the backside of the mountain allows guests to basically ski right up to the bar. The drink menu includes classics like old fashioneds, horse’s necks, and hot toddies, as well as hearty bites, and a stunning view of the snow-capped mountains and valleys. The pop-up is open every Thursday to Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Those having more of a frontside sort of day can visit the second High West lounge at The Dry Creek Bar Deck at Mammoth Mountain Inn. The Western-inspired whiskey lounge is the perfect spot for après-ski and features High West specialty cocktails. It is open every Thursday to Sunday from 3 to 6 pm.
High West is also hosting plenty of games and giveaways at its pop-ups, including a little spin-the-wheel game for prizes like headbands, flasks, candles, pins, and keychains. Each drink purchase also includes a raffle ticket, so you could go home with a High West souvenir from your trip. To make things even more fun, the pop-ups have shotskis.
The High West bar pop-ups close on March 13.
