Kiss have unveiled the latest addition to their growing spirits portfolio, Cold Gin. Last year, the iconic rock band released Kiss Black Diamond Rum.
Kiss Cold Gin is “inspired by the vibrant streets of New York City and the 1974 rock hit,” says a press release. It is “the ultimate tribute to the hometown of the hottest band in the world.” The gin is distilled five times and is heavy with juniper, lemon, and herbs.
A press release describes the gin as “a taste explosion that’s always cranked up to 11.” “Now it really is Cold Gin time,” says Paul Stanley. The name of the product references Kiss’ 1974 song “Cold Gin”. Stanley adds, “If gin is your thing then this is the one to bring. Like the song, this one’s a classic!”
On the nose, the gin offers spicy, clear tones of juniper. The palate is well-balanced with notes of juniper, citrus, herbs, lemon peel, and angelica root. The finish grows in the mouth, and is full bodied, clear and distinctively crisp.
Cold Gin was made in conjunction with Swedish company Brands For Fans, who are also responsible for Kiss’s rum, as well as Motorhead’s Iron Fist Whiskey and Ghost’s Juniper Gin.
The design of the Cold Gin bottle features the four members of Kiss next to the Brooklyn Bridge. A gold disc along with various New York City and Manhattan landmarks are featured throughout the label, while an art deco pattern behind the disc is based on the scales of Gene Simmons’ demon boots.
KISS Cold Gin is recommended to be enjoyed in a G&T show with black peppercorns, a light squeeze of fresh lemon juice and a lemon wedge.
The gin is priced at £32.90 per 500 ml bottle and due to Brexit and customs delays, the product will be available for shipping within the UK after July 25. To purchase a bottle, head over to the Brands For Fans official website.
