Oak & Eden has announced the re-release of its summer seasonal whiskey, Rye & Rumba. The Dallas–Fort Worth distillery originally launched the offering in the summer of 2019 and this will be its final release.

Oak & Eden Rye & Rumba starts with Oak & Eden’s rye whiskey, which is then finished with a Caribbean Rum-soaked American Oak spiral. The brand pioneered “In-Bottle Finishing,” which involves placing a 5″ long spiral-cut piece of wood, called the Spire, into their fully-aged bottle of whiskey, imparting new flavors and characteristics. For Rye & Rumba, Oak & Eden steeped an American Oak spire into a craft Caribbean Rum for two weeks before placing it into a bottle of rye whiskey.

“Rye & Rumba is among our most balanced & flavorful whiskeys,” said Joe Giildenzopf, cofounder and CEO of Oak & Eden. “There is a delicate complexity of flavors that exist when you introduce Caribbean Rum into rye whiskey. Putting the two together creates a rich, aromatic whiskey that is full of flavor and a clear fan favorite.”

Oak & Eden uses its In-Bottle Finishing to produce 10 unique whiskeys across its portfolio, including Bourbon & Vine (cabernet-infused bourbon), Bourbon & Brew (cold brew coffee-infused bourbon), and the Ale Series (beer-infused whiskeys).

Bottled at 45% ABV, Rye & Rumba is priced at $59,99 and is available for sale across most of the 22 states that Oak & Eden distributes within. It can also be purchased via the brand’s official website.

In other Texas whiskey news, Balcones Distilling recently launched Pilgrimage, a new addition to its portfolio of American single malt whiskeys. A statement from the brand describes the new offering as paying “tribute to both the journeys we are all on and the travelling companions we explore and wander with.”
