Patrimony Estate Moves Into Paso Robles Hospitality With The Chateau

Patrimony Estate The Chateau

Paso Robles is on its way to getting a new hospitality experience, and this one is from one of the region’s leading winemakers. Georges and Daniel Daou, the brothers behind iconic Central Coast winery Patrimony Estate, have announced The Chateau, and it’s set to open in spring 2024.

The Chateau will feature eight master suites, a Michelin-level restaurant, a library of past Patrimony vintages, private tasting rooms, a cheese cave, and a cigar lounge. The expansive terrace will boast breathtaking views of the highest elevation vineyard and winery in Paso Robles, just 14 miles from the Pacific Ocean. A modern winery, gravity-fed with caves for bottle storage will house the world-class Bordeaux varietals.

For the project, the Daous will work with a local contractor and architect. While details on the piece remain somewhat scarce, if the brand’s wine is indication, the new property will be a must-stop for visitors and wine lovers across the globe.

Earlier this week, Patrimony Estate announced its newly released 2017 and 2018 vintages, including the first Cabernet Franc bottling from this legendary estate. Launched in 2013 by co-proprietors and brothers Georges and Daniel Daou, the Paso Robles winery has received critical praise year-after-year for its wines.

With these new vintages, Patrimony Estate expands its expertise in Bordeaux varieties to Cabernet Franc. “Patrimony’s first-ever Cabernet Franc release is nothing short of quintessential—full bodied yet supremely elegant and layered,” says Winemaker Daniel Daou. “While approachable upon release, it will develop beautifully for decades to come.”

In other California Central Coast winery news, CRŪ Winery has announced the opening of a second tasting room location. The new CRŪ Winery tasting room is perched in the Santa Lucia Highlands of Monterey County and offers guests stunning vineyard and valley views.
